About the role:
The Senior Azure Cloud Engineer will manage IaaS, PaaS and SaaS technologies supporting business critical applications and will ensure optimal cloud architecture is consistent throughout ongoing transformational projects.

Job Responsibilities 
 

  • Designing, implementing, and managing cloud solutions using Azure.
  • Developing and maintaining cloud solutions in accordance with the company technical and security guidelines.
  • Ensuring cloud infrastructure is well architected, managed, agile, automated, robust, secure, highly available, and efficient.
  • Applying DevOps principles and automation to bring maximum agility and efficiency to infrastructure and systems.
  • Monitoring the infrastructure and ensuring SLAs and system RTOs and RPOs are met, and disaster recovery is regularly tested.
  • Providing technical guidance, mentor and support to team members and stakeholders.
  • Liaising and working closely with the Security Team to monitor and maintain the security of the cloud environment.
  • Identifying, analysing, and resolving cloud vulnerabilities and issues.
  • Creating and maintaining strong technical documentation.
  • Following the correct ITIL process for Incidents, Security, Problem and Change Management.

Skills & Experience required:

  • 5+ years hands on experience with Azure Cloud solutions.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Azure solutions (IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS) in a production environment.
  • Demonstrable expertise and working knowledge of the Azure Cloud Platform and the services and policies required to maintain reliability and security of all subscriptions.
  • DevOps skills and experience in an agile environment utilising CI/CD pipeline and deploying IaC.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to ensure quick and effective resolution of technical issues.
  • Experience in using monitoring and troubleshooting tools within Azure, such as Azure Monitor.
  • Working knowledge of on-premises and cloud networking such as VPN, ExpressRoutes etc.
  • Qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or another quantitative field, and Azure certifications are preferred.
